Rules and Regulations for using the ACM Machine (AUP)

  • The MSU Acceptable Use Policy applies to this machine
  • The ACM executive board has complete control over this machine and may change any current policy as it desires and without notice so long as it abides by the MSU Acceptable Use Policy.
  • No guarentees are given to users of this machine. We take no responsibility for downtime, lost files, misdirected email, or other problems inheirant with machines of this type.
  • This machine may, at any time and without notice, be shutdown permanently.
  • Individual accounts may be removed as deemed necessary by the ACM executive board.
  • Your account is yours only. Sharing your account with others is prohibitited and is grounds for immediate account removal.
  • Your ACM account is for your personal use only and may not be used for commercial purposes or financial gain.
  • This machine may not be used to distribute (via FTP, WWW, email, or other service) offensive, profane, or harassing material.
  • By logging into the ACM machine you agree to all abide by all of these rules.

ACM will try, to the best of its ability, to keep this machine in good working order. User suggestions are welcomed and will be considered. Backups will be made periodically; however, as stated above, the reliablility of backups is not guarenteed.
